The Reality Of Alzheimers…

‘The diagnosis is Alzheimer’s Disease’. If you have ever been on the receiving end of such a diagnosis, either for yourself or a loved one, you will understand just how difficult it can be to process a statement like this.

Having personally experienced this for his mother who was in her 70’s at the time was challenging enough so when Steve spent some one to one time with Peter Berry who was diagnosed at age just 50 he found it extremely touching, particularly because, as much as both men enjoyed their time together, a moment which would always remain with Steve, it would be forgotten by Peter soon afterwards.

Having been a carer for his mother, Steve also wanted to provide an insight into that world with a carer’s perspective.                                                          So the videos below highlight the journey of Peter berry and just what a remarkable man he is and also delves into the world of Pedro who cares for his mother with Alzheimer’s.
